I'M GOING TO SPEAK ABOUT MYSELF IN THE 3RD PERSON HERE. IT'S WHAT ALL THE COOL WEBSITES DO. IT. JUST GO WITH IT, OKRRR?
Andrew has come to discover that he’s really rather partial to hyphens.
With that in mind, he’d like to be considered an
ACTOR-CABARET PERFORMER-WRITER.
ACTING
Andrew's graced stages all over the shop from Frankfurt to Ipswich.
He’s performed in car parks, West End theatres, gardens and under disused railway arches.
He’s played a scarecrow, a Restoration fop, an American assassin, the Grinch, a mad vegan, a mad professor and the Mad Hatter (twice!).
He's played Shakespeare clowns, danced with Mary Poppins and, as a pantomime, Dame he's flirted his way into the hearts of the good people of Chipping Norton.
He also work regularly with children’s mentoring charity Scene and Heard as as a director, dramaturg and actor.
As an actor with Scene and Heard, he’s played pretty much everything from a rainbow maxi-dress to a suicidal hawk moth and a posh toilet. He’s very versatile.
CABARET
As a cabaret performer… well… he’ll need a whole separate page to explain all about that, so click here and take a deep dive.
WRITING
Andrew's first stage play THE TEA PARTY reimagines the relationship between Lewis Carroll’s Mad Hatter and March Hare.
Whilst in the television project RUNNING AWAY, he explores sexual identity through the lens of parenthood. In THE BOY WHO..., he explores the effects of growing up under Section 28.
You can read a selection of his musings and writing on his blog: HTTPS://MRPEPPERBLOGS.WORDPRESS.COM
